My Thoughts on the 2012 Euro World Cup

Greetings all,

I thought I would graphically demonstrate my thoughts on this years Euro World Cup. Please note that I reside in the Toronto area, where recently a shooting occurred during a game.

Normally I don't care for organized sports of any kind, but, as my wife and I, and my in-laws and my brother in-law and his wife and three children (the Bertuzzi clan) are in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (FI), Tuscany, Italy for the Bertuzzi's 50th Wedding Anniversary, we got caught up in the whole village celebrating with food and drink in the streets and town square until Spain scoring took out the wind of the sails and you could feel the whole town, and all of Italy, go dead quiet and a sense of deep pressure pushing down on everyone and everything. We removed ourselves with our gelati and headed back to our farmhouse rental in the nearby countryside.

Glad that you are enjoying yourself in Italy. It was a bit like that in Toronto. There is a Spanish community but a smaller one so the cheering that went on was not that much.
